A Celebration so bittersweet

Happy 2nd Anniversary, TEMPUS!

If you are a Holostarmin, especially if you follow HOLOSTARS EN, July is a very important month. It is the anniversary month of the foundation of HOLOSTARS EN, as well as the debut of TEMPUS beginning with the HQ unit, the debut anniversary of Shiny Spicy1. We get to celebrate and make this month the month of the EN Holostarmin.

At the same time, July is also a month us Holostarmin fear of. It started July 2023 when we lost Dez and Vesper, as the two decided to part ways with HOLOSTARS, leaving Leader Altare and Axel-aniki to lead the entire TEMPUS guild along with the VG unit. We had a delay of almost a month of celebrating it, but COVER/HOLOSTARS has made up for that painful month by awarding the boys and us a whole week of celebration known as TEMPUS WEEK in mid-August.

Guess what— we still continue the tradition of TEMPUS WEEK, but just in time this week starting in 7/21 until 7/27. As you can see with this image, we get lore-related voice packs for us available on sale at the HoloPro Shop. That’s just the beginning. The boys promised us a lot more than just the voice packs these coming days.

I still await for a full Tempus collab in 3D on stage, but who knows, we’ll definitely find out the things the boys have been cooking this week!

It’s even more difficult to say goodbye in July…

Hizaki Gamma - Stars Collection Debut Episode Early July, we lost our very beloved content director of HoloPro, A-chan. Even today, many of us are grieving for her resignation in our own way. But somehow, we have to move forward.

Last week became a lot more heartbreaking for the Holostarmins. It’s bad enough that we lost Dez and Vesper from TEMPUS last year. But this year, not only did we lose A-chan, we also, unexpectedly, lose one of the JP boys’ beloved members: UPROAR’s hyper paripi awesomest mangaka, Hizaki Gamma. Even more heartbreaking, Gamma’s leaving wasn’t a graduation, it was a termination of contract. Why his contract got terminated ASAP is something we’ll never know, and it’s best for us to never know.

Gamma was not my oshi in UPROAR!!,2 but I really loved him to death, just like how much I loved Dez and Vesper the same way. His art really blew me away and the more I watched clips of his artwork (especially when he draws the boys), the more I got inspired to get back into drawing. He was also hyper, hilarious, he was the champion in HOLOSTARS RUST SEASON 2, his cracked gaming during VSaikyou last year, his antics during VCR RUST, and he has given the enthusiasm and drive to us on how to become extremely awesome. He will always be forever the awesomest party animal mangaka who has ever lived.

He was given a chance to say goodbye on TwitterXYZ to everyone. What made him get terminated by COVER is something that’s best not revealed. However, recently in one of Rio’s streams, he shared this comment to us non-Japanese fans:

Minase Rio's indirect comment about Gamma

Let’s not bother Fuma and Uyu about what they think about losing a fellow genmate and let Rio be the representative of UPROAR regarding this sad day. Let Rio’s words give you closure and help you move on, little by little. Continue making art or write fanfics of Gamma. We’re not being limited, aren’t we? Astel still talks about Kagami Kira from time to time before. The Tempus boys are still free to talk about Dez and Vesper when the times are right. One day, UPROAR will one day talk about Gamma when the right time comes.

Life Goes On

HOLOSTARS has lost one more member, totaling the member count to 22. But who says they will remain 22 when, in the future somewhere, more new members will join HOLOSTARS? Maybe new JP boys because, honestly, we need new JP boys, so UPROAR can have a chance to become senpais to new JP boys. Why not?

I don’t know when I’m going to blog here again. Till next time!

  1. and it would have been with Dez and Ves too if they stayed []
  2. In case you don’t know, it’s Minase Rio []
