Long time no write … kind of. On the other hand, it has been a while.
Before I begin, I want to extend my prayers to the people who suffered in the New Year’s Day earthquake and tsunami in the Noto Peninsula, Japan. Although many of my favorite vTubers were unharmed because they were far from the disaster’s location, there are still out there who did get hit. If only I have some spare to donate, I would contribute. But now, all I can do is pray for lives lost and those living will recover from this disaster.
I also would like to greet the TEMPUS Vanguard boys a Happy 1st Anniversary too!
Now that I got that out of the way, I’ll continue on.
Some Plans
I already mentioned a few of them on my previous entry, but most of them were all about what I’ll be doing outside of Starpura Space and the entirety of Holostars fandom altogether. Here will be a few plans as a Holostarsmin altogether.
Passion Project: vTuber Analysis Case Studies
Upon finishing my data analytics bootcamp, I never had the chance to finish my capstone project. 50 hr/week work happened around that time and I wouldn’t be able to complete that project. Luckily, that didn’t affect my certificate and that I will still have some job placement and career coaching when the time is right.
As part of my capstone, I will be making a few case studies regarding the vtuber industry in general, by using datasets, statistical analysis, reporting, probably presentations, we’ll see. Because these are meant to be added as portfolio pieces, these case studies will not be posted here on Starpura Space. Instead, when I do get some of them done, I’ll just update them here. The vTuber Analysis Case Studies will include Holostars, of course, as they are my main oshis in the vTubing scene, right?
Please stay tuned for more info about this “passion portfolio” project.
Fanfic Attempt #2
I don’t remember if I ever shared any of the fanfics here on Starpura Space. I only shared them on my TwitterXYZ account last year. But I would like to post these fanfics here on another section. Maybe I’ll post them on places like AO3 or somewhere,((Come on, AO3, MARKDOWN SUPPORT onegaishimasu!!!)) preferring that they have Markdown support. Why? Because it’s just easier to write with Markdown and have everything automatically converted to HTML. Just like with this WordPress-powered blog, which I’m using the Markdown block.
I’m also using iA Writer with the help of Grammarly or Hemingway Editor, but honestly, I’m lazy proofreading. I kind of prefer fleshing out all my ideas as I go.
I still would like to use the same plot idea as the previous fanfic attempts that I wrote, but maybe I’ll be starting it during high school and if it progresses, continue until they’re all working adults. It’s still going to be a ghost mystery story, which still centers around Rio. Now with the debuts of Tempus VG, holoAdvent, holoDEV_IS Re:Gloss, and ARMIS, I can minimize the number of original characters I made up. There’ll still be OGs, but it wouldn’t be as much as before.
The problem now is how I can promote it without sounding like I’m seeking attention on both TwitterXYZ or even Discord((if I ever get around to getting active there)) because I’m plain shy and introverted altogether. So, I hope anyone out there reading this, please give me some tips and suggestions. Very much appreciated.????????
Return to Self-Studying Art
The funny thing is, while I got my data analytics certification, I’m also interested in learning more about AI and Machine Learning. Yes, I’m aware that there are some people who fake-dub themselves as “artists” by using generative AI and create “original art”, but personally for me, I just find it inauthentic. I still have no skill in drawing character art, but I’m getting there with some simple objects and places art. But I do hope one day that I’ll be able to share some fan art starring the boys.
It’s a very long, time-consuming process, but I would love to just forget everything out of social media and focus more on learning art. I’m not an obsessed simp like many on TwitterXYZ and I’m barely on social media anyway, so this is a good time for me to focus on these and make use of the time I have doing something productive.
Participate in more fan projects
Honestly, I love how the Tempuras (and Armadas, is it?) are organized with fan projects for Tempus and Armis. But wouldn’t it be nice to see fan projects of the StarsJP boys too? I may be primarily an Altventurer/Cultare, but I do love all 23 boys altogether.
Currently, I’m a sensitivity reader for two projects: one for Altare’s birthday and second for Jurard’s birthday. I’d like to participate more in different projects, especially that isn’t always just focused towards Tempus and Armis. If only there were more StarsJP fans who are willing to organize similar projects like this for their birthdays because they are hard to find and that there aren’t very many fans active.
Altogether, I feel really sad about this. I guess I’ll have to search harder if there’s a community somewhere on Discord that heavily focuses on StarsJP fan projects. I feel that the Holostars fandom has that division line between StarsJP fans and StarsEN fans. I’ve always considered Holostars as one group and not emphasize too much on divisions based on language. I wonder… couldn’t we get rid of that division?
Closing
Consider this as my first blog post for 2024. I pray that more blessings to come for 2024. 2023 have been very rough for the boys and the fans too, after all.
Plus, 2024 is the Year of the Dragon. I was born in the year of the Dragon. Make it MY year, please… and make this year the year of HOLOSTARS too.????????
