Yooooo~ Saturday, February 18, 2023, was a major WIN. Everything about this entire tourney were simply just WINS. WIN! WIN! WIN!
And the real winner of this entire tourney? The host herself, Kureiji Ollie. I mean look at her smile with pride and content. This was her very first Apex custom tourney she’s ever hosted, and what an awesome way to start off by having her fellow HoloPro homies be the ones competing, right?
One day, just like the more notable Shibuya HAL Cup, the CR Cup, and the Kohaku Cup, there will eventually going to be an Kureiji Ollie Cup. But Kureiji Arcade is a lot more awesome name, so let’s just keep it the same.

In regards to the Hololive-only portion of the tourney, I never saw it. I don’t know if I should watch the VOD since I’m not really a Hololive follower1. In addition, it was also at 2:00 a.m. PST, so I was dead asleep back then. In order for me to get enough sleep to wake up early, I set my alarm to about 3:45 a.m. PST, just 15 minutes before the HOLOSTARS + mixed teams segment of the event.
Anyway, I’m not writing about my experience watching the tourney because I was swiching around channels, but rather, the moments I’ve taken that came from this tourney.
HOLOSTARS BOXING MATCH x MIXED TEAMS OLLIEMPUS RACE
Rather than going into detail, I’ll just share some of the clips that our wonderful clippers have done to share some of the funniest but epic moments in this event. I’ve started this blog two days ago and never had the time to finish it until now and I feel I’d sound outdated if I go into detail.

TEAM E(EK) CHANT
IMO they’re the most iconic team among all the teams that Kobo, Betsy2, and Uyu even made their own team chant. Also, they took second place in the Mixed Teams Race!

TEMMA FINDS MOTIVATION TO STUDY ENGLISH AGAIN
I have seen some of his English studying streams from months ago, but because of busy schedules, he stopped. After meeting HoloCouncil member Hakos Baelz as a member of Team A with Shien, plus the fact that there are more Holostars members now with the debut of the Tempus Vanguard boys, it was definitely time to keep in touch with the English language again.
TEAM G (Hakka, Towa, Aruran) BONDING THROUGH ORIGINAL SONGS AND COVERS
I’ve read comments that there may be something that’s lost in translation. Many of us kaigainikis got the impression that Towa wanted to collab on a song with Hakka in the future, whereas some in the comments feel that Towa was explaining that she had a song collab with UtsuP, the artist/producer whose one of his songs Hakka recently covered. Either way, just enjoy this cute moment anyway…

Flay learns the actual meaning of the phrase "tsuki ga kirei"3 from Axel and Fuma. We got some bonding going on between the mech pilot and the ayakashi youkai going on here…

Axel, my nioshi of Tempus HQ, never change. Sigh.
We all know that Astel is the Apex Troll King, so Axel decided he should do the trolling around the troll king instead… yeah.
APEX TROLL KING ASTEL DONE GOOFED UP
I’ve only been a Holostars fan for seven months now (as of this writing) and one thing’s for sure when it comes to Holostars and Apex Legends: It ain’t a Holostars Apex moment without a little trolling from the alien himself, Astel Leda.
Oh yeah, he’s also my oshi in G1-3. Why the heck did I end up choosing him as my oshi? LOOOOL….
I know that goofing around and causing some accident would annoy some people, but there’s also some good in it. As the game was restarting and reset everything up, there were more time bonding and mingling with one another within their teams, which gave us more moments and antics at the same time.

Aftermath Chat with Ollie (updated 2/25)
After some time resting, Ollie holds a zatsu talking about her thoughts about her very first major collab event with all her friends and colleagues of HoloPro.

My own thoughts …
Everyone in this tournament are winners, but if you ask me, the real winner of this entire tourney is Ollie herself. For a first timer, the event was a success in the end, even if there were some scuffs in between. I don’t really follow the Hololive girls as much, but honestly in HoloID, Ollie is my oshi.5
Not just with Ollie, but I hope anyone within HoloPro— just anyone— would one day host a cross-collab event such as the Kureiji Arcade, not because it’s for the laughs and all, but so everyone would have a chance to meet one another, get to know one another, and make HoloPro as one family, not just Hololive on its own or Holostars on its own.
Oh, and a message to these unicorns who don’t like seeing events like this? Do yourselves a favor and touch some grass. Go out and join some volunteer groups in your community and meet new people. You’ll be glad you did.
I thought about writing about one particular take I want to talk about, and it’s been flooding my timeline this whole night, but I’ll save that for the next entry.
